Following on the heels of an article last week, the Gloucester County Times has come out in favor of our legislation to uncork New Jersey. The balanced editorial raises important questions - it's crucial that the truth about our bill be known: it will no negative impact on retail operations, distributors or wholesalers.
In fact, our proposal to revise New Jersey's wine laws will provide New Jersey wineries with additional business opportunities. Garden State wineries are currently prohibited from shipping their product to fellow Garden State residents, however that prohibition would end and the wineries could discover a large, new customer base if our legislation is enacted.
